May 29th, 2020
Fun-Plex is so excited to kick off another awesome summer! Some changes will need to be made to our operations this summer in order to be able to provide a safe and enjoyable experience. Please read the following information carefully before planning your visit.
Open Daily starting Friday, June 19th
Park Changes & Updates
We are reducing our park capacity to 25%, not to exceed 1000 persons, in compliance with our current Directed Health Measures. This capacity will be reduced even further at the start of the season to assure that we are able to handle the traffic flow properly and we have sufficient space in the park for people to spread out.
Entrance: First Come / First Serve
With a reduced capacity, we cannot guarantee admission to day ticket holders. Fun-Plex opens at noon, guests may purchase tickets and begin to line up starting at 11am. We will dedicate a portion of our parking lot for an admission line with social distance spacing & markers. Once our daily capacity is reached, no more guests will be allowed until other guests leave for the day. (Guests may still leave and return in the same day with a hand stamp)
Season pass holders will have the opportunity to make a guaranteed entry “reservation” by filling out a form on our website on the day of their visit. Without a reservation, season pass holders will also be subject to capacity restrictions. Besides season pass holders with reservations, the only guaranteed entries are for catered picnic groups and cabana reservations (up to 6 people per cabana).
If we have a large group planned which will make a significant impact on the day’s capacity, we will update our Park Hours page accordingly.
Each day we will update the homepage of our website if/when capacity is reached.
Fun-Plex will not be offering refunds for any purchase for any reason. If you have purchased a ticket online or in person, and you are denied entrance due to capacity restrictions or operational changes/cancellations, the ticket may be used on another date this summer OR next summer.
Please read this entire update to make informed decisions about your visit and always read terms and conditions carefully before making purchases. Please see our weather policy for weather related issues.
Due to the significant restrictions placed on the park this year, some modifications must be made in our operations. We will do our best to provide a full experience, but please be aware that some attractions may be unavailable, or will be open/closed throughout the day.
Ride Park: Our ride park will be split into two sections with rotating schedules.
|Go-Karts and Mini Golf will be available throughout the entire day|
|12pm – 1:30pm||Kiddie Rides: Go Gator, Kiddie Train, Carousel, Red Baron Planes, Race-Go-Round Kiddie Cars|
|1:30pm – 2:00pm||Safety & Sanitation Break|
|2:00pm – 5:00pm||Family Rides: Slick Track, Bumper Boats, Crazzzy Cars, Tilt-a-Whirl, Rock-O-Ride|
|5:00pm – 5:30pm||Safety & Sanitation Break|
|5:30pm – 7:00pm||Kiddie Rides: Go Gator, Kiddie Train, Carousel, Red Baron Planes, Race-Go-Round Kiddie Cars|
Waterpark: We intend to keep most of the waterpark operating continually throughout the day, with the exception of short safety breaks. However, depending on park traffic levels, it may happen that we close an attraction early, or rotate operation between two attractions (i.e. Typhoon Falls Waterslides operates for an hour, then Rockin Rapids operates for the next hour).
*These plans do not guarantee the operations of any attractions. Attractions may still be subject to maintenance or repairs. Attractions may also be unavailable due to park traffic or staffing levels.
Breakers Bay will be operating under strict capacity limits. Once capacity is reached, no additional guests will be allowed to enter until other guests leave for the day. Please do not enter any pool or attraction if proper social distancing cannot be maintained.
Unfortunately Breaker’s Bay will not be hosting our Sunsets Summer Concert Series this season.
Due to current Directed Health Measures, the Game Galaxy arcade building will be closed this season.
Balloon Ferris Wheel
Unfortunately, due to complications with shipping and service becasue of Covid-19, the Balloons were not able to have necessary maintenance completed and will not be operating in the 2020 season.
Please see our Season Pass page for more information.
All single day admission tickets will have their expiration automatically extended through the end of the 2021 season. Day tickets are valid for one use. Day ticket holders are subject to capacity restrictions.
Camp sessions for June and July are currently on schedule. To keep capacity low, we are not accepting new reservations.
If you have a camper registered, you should have received an email with more details about our safety precautions and options for those who do not wish to attend camp this year.
Capacity: Fun-Plex will be operating at 25% capacity to allow extra room in the park for social distancing. See more details in our Park Capacity and First Come/First Serve sections. The overall capacity reduction of the park should help to not overwhelm any one individual attraction. However, if certain pools or areas become crowded, staff may step in to help with targeted capacity restriction.
Seating Layout: Pool loungers and tables will be arranged in groups of no more than six, with at least 6 feet between sets. Guests are asked to please never move park furniture. Extra areas in the grass will be utilized to allow more spacing.
Line Layout: All places where lines typically form will be marked with signage and/or visible indicators to keep groups at least 6 feet apart. This includes lines for admission, ticketing, rides, slides, and concessions.
Hand Sanitizing: Several stations will be added to the park for guest use.
Facility Sanitation: Added attention will be given to cleaning high touch areas like door handles, handrails, tables, chairs, fitting rooms, lockers, counters, etc.
Park Furniture: Pool chairs/loungers, picnic tables, and benches will be sanitized overnight. Dining furniture at concession areas will be cleaned and disinfected throughout the day.
Tubes & Lifejackets: Tubes and lifejackets will be disinfected before each use. A Fun-Plex employee will be stationed at the tube corral near the motion ocean. Guests may receive a free tube or lifejacket and are kindly asked to return it after use. Only tubes and lifejackets distributed from the Motion Ocean tube corral have been disinfected.
Fun-Plex only has a small supply of lifejackets for guest use. It is encouraged that non-swimmers bring their own lifejackets. No outside flotation devices, with the exception of coast guard approved lifejackets, are allowed in the waterpark, see our flotation device policy for more information.
Rides: Ride attendants will sanitize ride touch points (handlebars, steering wheels) after each ride. A more in-depth cleaning, that includes seat, head rests, etc., will occur several times per day.
Restrooms: Restrooms will be cleaned and sanitized throughout the day focusing on touch points, with a full room sanitation occurring daily. Extra care will be given to our main entrance restrooms during opening and closing times.
Covid-19 and Water
Could Fun-Plex Close?
This summer our operations are dependent on many factors. We are dependent on our staff and customers to be responsible with their health, and be respectful of each other. We are dependent on the health of our hospital systems. We are dependent on the pandemic not worsening. We are dependent on our local, state, and national government and health officials to guide us. Fun-Plex may close at any time due to conditions related to the current health situation.
Please read our terms and conditions carefully before making any purchases. Fun-Plex does not provide refunds for any reason, including Covid-19 related delays or closures.
Should I Visit Fun-Plex?
The decision to participate in public activities during a pandemic is personal and should be considered carefully. Fun-Plex is making many changes and modifications to our operations to provide the safest possible experience, but ultimately attending the park is done so at your own risk and Fun-Plex holds no liability if illness is contracted.
Those who we encourage NOT to visit this summer:
- People who are in a high risk category, or will be in close contact with someone in a high risk category: See CDC guidelines to know if this applies to you.
- People who are not willing or able to comply with our safety guidelines.
We will not tolerate any guests who are disrespectful to the personal space of others. Nor will we engage in any unproductive discussions surrounding our policies, which are in place for your safety.
If you are ready to make the best of the situation this summer, we are happy to have you!
